Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of eramentor.com (the "Service"), operated by Madole Labs, a sole proprietorship based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. EraMentor is a division of Madole Labs. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or be using it under the supervision of a teacher, parent, or legal guardian. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

EraMentor offers paid subscription plans, including but not limited to:

  • Monthly subscription: CAD $12.99
  • Yearly subscription: CAD $129.99

Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and may be subject to applicable taxes. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis until canceled. Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider (Stripe).

3.1 Automatic Renewal

Unless you cancel your subscription before the end of the current billing period, it will automatically renew for a new period of the same length, and you authorize us or our payment provider to charge the applicable subscription fee.

3.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings or by contacting support. After cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. No additional charges will be made unless you restart your subscription.

3.3 Refunds

Madole Labs provides full refunds for accidental renewals requested within 48 hours of the renewal charge. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] with your account details and transaction information. We do not provide prorated refunds or refunds for unused portions of a billing period outside this 48-hour window, except where required by law.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Engage in any unlawful, harmful, or abusive behavior
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service or AI personas in competition with EraMentor
  • Generate or distribute malicious, hateful, or inappropriate content
  • Circumvent usage limits, security features, or payment requirements

5. Educational Use & AI Disclaimer

EraMentor uses artificial intelligence to simulate historical personas and provide educational assistance. While we strive for accuracy, AI responses may contain errors, omissions, or simplifications. You agree not to rely solely on AI-generated content for academic, legal, or professional decisions, and to verify important information through trusted sources.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its content, design, logos, AI personas, and underlying software, is the property of Madole Labs or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal or educational purposes.

7. AI Output Ownership & Usage

You may use AI-generated outputs from EraMentor for personal and classroom use, including assignments, lesson plans, and learning materials.

You may not resell AI-generated content as a standalone product or service in competition with EraMentor, or use outputs in any way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services such as Stripe or AI providers. Your use of such services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Madole Labs and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Madole Labs from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including for breach of these Terms or suspected fraudulent activity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately, and certain provisions of these Terms will continue to apply, including those relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the �Last updated� date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
